New master bedroom

A growing family was living in a home that originally had three bedrooms.

The previous owner had removed the wall between the two smaller bedrooms to make a large master bedroom. The homeowners were expecting their second child and decided to replace the wall that the previous owner had removed. However, they needed to enlarge one of the bedrooms for their own use.

New second floor plan

Studio Z Architecture designed a 6-foot wide addition over the first floor family room in order to enlarge the bedroom. Because of the design of the existing roof, a truss had to be built to support the new roof and attic. Skylights were added to allow more light into the new bedroom.
